Is my Rom/Kernel not allowing a charge?

Aokp/Franco . Last night when I plugged my phone into the wall charger, it would not start to charge. I then attempted to plug it into the pc and the pc would not find the drivers all of a sudden. I was able to get a full charge when I powered the phone off while plugged in and left it over night. I've had this Rom/kernel combo for about a week with great results, now am worried it disabled my phones usb connection. Anyone with ideas?
