Is my S3 killing my phone?

I've had my S3 for about a month now- love it- but my phone battery dies in about 2-4 hours where it used to last all day. My phone is a galaxy s5, so I just assumed it was an old battery issue, so I bought a brand new battery from Samsung. I charged it as directed, and it still only lasts a few hours, and the phone is hot all of the time. I've got an app killer, and shut everything down, but I still see two watch icons at the top, so I assume the watch and phone conversation is causing the issue.

I have Bluetooth off, by the way. I figured that was the problem so I turned it off, but it didn't make any difference. Any other ideas?

I have a Galaxy S7E and I don't see any watch icons. Can you post a screenshot of those? Also, have you checked for an update to the Gear app?

Sounds like a rogue app. Have got installed any new ones over the past couple of days? At the risk of stating the obvious, did you go into settings and look at the apps draining the battery?

I had the same prob. What worked for me was uninstall & reinstall Gear Manager app.

I had the s5. It may be a battery problem. You can get a new one on ebay for about $10. I have a Note 4 now for less than 2 years and I am on my third battery. I noticed that the s5 has an even shorter battery life. After a year I would leave my house drive maybe 5 miles and my battery would be around 27% I traded it in for a Note 4 which has a better battery life, but as I said I am on the third one.
