Is my s7 edge unlocked?

I have a samsung galaxy s7 edge cdma for verizon. I was told that all verizon phones are unlocked now. But even if it isn't, if I do get it unlocked, will it work on a gsm system?

Yes, Verizon phones are unlocked by default. You can just put the SIM for your other service in there and it'll work. You may have to change your APN settings to match the new carrier.

Have you ever tried one of the smaller pre-paid carriers like total wireless?they're supposed to piggyback off of verizon. Im just tired of the lies and deciet that verizon has been throwing me.
