is my Samsung Galaxy Tab3 too old for updates

When I try to update my Samsung Galaxy Tab3, it tells me that Unable to update software. A network or server error occurred. Try again later or go to Samsung Kies on your PC to update your devise. when I try this nothing is found for my model. I have had this since 2010 and don't use it all the time.

Yes, that device is too old for updates, and the version that's on it is going to be too old to run many modern apps.

Welcome to Android Central! Old devices like that were lucky to get official system updates beyond 2 years. Get a newer tablet. That Tab A7 lite or A8 lite are decent and inexpensive.
