Just curious on who thinks that the full version of neutron music player is worth the $5.99 and why or why not?

Never tried it, but I can certainly vouch for the full paid version of PowerAmp.

Does anyone know of a good music player that could pull music into playlists from Google Drive?

I would be very careful when picking out an audio player on the android market. Most of them introduce a sound veil all in the hopes of gaining a competitive advantage over the rest of the field. The sound would be slightly attenuated as if the sound is coming through a thick pillow. I personally find the sound veil on Neutron, Viper or even PowerAmp to be a little on the overkill side & really puts a strain on your ears long term.

I prefer to use Youtube as a benchmark. They provide a clean rich immersive sound with Dolby Pro Logic II upscaling. The same upscaling that is done for movie theater sound. The only player that's even close enough to that rich sound would be Amazon Music (you can switch to offline mode to get a standard player). They also run a Dolby variant embedded in the player as a standard. The only downside would be the lack of options available for extra tweaking. Other than that it really brings your tracks to life regardless of quality.

If you kick the gain on the V20 & switch to either external or high impedance running on the same player mentioned above, it sounds even better than most dedicated DAPs out there & that includes my recent 800 dollar DP-X1 purchase. As a reference, I was using the Sennheiser IE800s for testing.

Great tip on the Amazon player for local files. I always thought it sounded really good but your post explains why...

I've been using Rocket player with my android devices for the past few years as it works very very very well with iTunes and my plethora of playlists. Sounds very good to me.

I'm wondering the same thing: How does this supposed Hi-Fi music player interact with the Hi-Fi capabilities of my V20? Testing and more testing ensues...
