It won't be a nexus 5. It will still be a nexus 4.

But all the leaked specs have all involved a 5 inch phone so wouldn't it be a Nexus 5?

Then why was the 4th called the Nexus 4? It doesn't have a 4" screen.

what if all of this is just what we want the Nexus 5 to be, and not what it really is going to be
Apple and Google are going to merge. The new device will be called the iNexus and will run ubuntu. I read it on crackberry. Nokia is building it.
You forgot to mention it dual boots into W8. With a Decacore CPU and Adreno 720 GPU
I see the OPs point. Does this phone even exist? Last year the Nexus 4 was leaked around July 18th, 2012.
Here we are on 08/22/13 with nothing. We dont even know who is making, what it looks like, or if it even exists.
And no one has left anything at a bar in a while either. (just saying)
There will certainly be a new Nexus..Almost assuredly sporting the new Android OS...Key Lime unless some one wants to argue that name too. Hence 5.0=Nexus 5.
I'll also guarantee that it will be about the software and not about the latest spec's. The last thing Google is going to do is try to outspec their, OEM's. One because it doesn't make financial sense...and also because that is not what the Nexus has ever been about. Anything with spectacular specs is just a bogus rumor...
The Snapdragon 800 would make sense with its support of Bands, but beyond that I wouldn't expect too much. No need for them to do 32GB(Storage) or anything beyond 8MP camera. Yes I wish they would...but wishing doesn't pay the bills..
I won't even go into why we won't see this on Verizon...Tho it won't do CDMA it might support all the LTE bands(World wide)
The os version number has nothing to do with the name.
