My carrier is scheduled to get the nexus 6 next month and at the moment I love my nexus 5 a lot. So what I'm wondering is the nexus 6 a huge upgrade? As in specs wise.

Very hard to tell, since I haven't been able to land my hands on one of them. They are very elusive at the google store. I think that eventually they'll be available. I am:-\ myself waiting for the Verizon version but it is always grayed out in the store. :(

No.. It's too big and too slow. I have one and I think it's better than my G2/N5. It's a 2 handed phone, so I don't know if that will bother you. It's heavy and the battery is not better than the note 4. I would buy mine all over again.

However, upgrading from the N5 to the N6 is going to be a decision only you can make. You're going to hear people say they love it while others say they hate it. I bought one because I had never bought a phone at launch before and having the Note 3 at the time I wanted to go back to a Nexus device. My son opted to stay with his Nexus 5 because "it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I got mine last Thursday. I had a nexus 5 before. I wasn't sure if the upgrade was worth it when I got it. But I love it. I would buy it all over again. The screen and size are great. I get better cell coverage with the moto radio than I did with the nexus 5 radio. The speakers are amazing. Its been a fantastic experience.

I too had the Nexus 5. It is a great phone and I really liked it. I've had my Nexus 6 since November 18th. My Nexus 6 is better by a wide margin. I love the size and the camera. For me the upgrade was a game changer.

Yes...it is very worth it. The specs are very much superior to the specs of the Nexus 5. As for the size of the screen..you will be glad the screen is as big as it is. At 1440 QHD AMOLED...the display is absolutely awesome. I don't understand why someone would say the phone is slow...it isn't. I ran AnTuTu and got a benchmark score of 52400. The Nexus 6 is "THE" device out right now.

I had a nexus 5 before and I'm really enjoying this nexus 6. If the size doesn't bother you it's definitely worth the upgrade.

Wait, what? Nexus 6 is too big and too heavy with a battery that isn't as good as the Note 4, and its too slow but you'd buy it all over again?

I believe he's saying he now has the Note 4 and he'd buy it again if faced with the choice between it and the Nexus 6. To each his/her own.

I've been pondering the same question, I also have a N5. At this point I'll probably wait for the 2015 Nexus or perhaps a Google Play S6 or M9 (assuming they happen). My reasons are as follows,

1) There doesn't seem to be an N6 compatible dashboard QI charger. I currently use a Lerway Qi charger with my N5. There is at least one comment on Amazon that says it's not compatible with the N6 (the clamps press on the volume keys and the QI sweetspot of the N6 isn't positioned well for the Lerway charger). If a Qi dashboard mounter becomes available for the N6 I'd start considering it again, but without one it's a non-starter for me.

2) It's still unavailable most of the time on Google Play and I've only seen it at carriers with terrible networks, T-Mobile and Sprint. It's not available at AT&T or Verizon. This is a signal that something is terribly wrong. It's a middle aged phone at this point, if they still can manufacture it three months after it was announced then either they don't want to sell any or they can't build them.

3) The Snapdragon 810 phones are around the corner. If I'm going to spend $700 then I want the very latest and greatest specs (even it they don't really matter). Both the S6 and the M9 will have the 810. Buying a locked phone from a carrier or putting up with TouchWiz or Sense isn't acceptable but if either is offered in a Google PLay Edition then that's a different story. The 2015 Nexus will almost certainly have an 810 and maybe it will come from a manufacturer that want's to build more then 10 of them. There was no shortage of the N5 so I'm assuming the N6 is simply a failed program which they will address in the next phone.

I will say I don't think its a failed program. And the speed and screen are amazing. I found a qi dashboard mount that fits the nexus 6 on amazon. The thing about the 810 processor is a faster one will be out by November. You'll wait forever playing that game. But good luck with whatever you choose.

Yes... I love the phone.. My wife calls it my mistress. I would buy it all over again..

Which QI car charger are you using with the N6? Of all of my concerns that one was by far the most important.
