Is rooting my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 worth it?

Re: Rooting Note 4

I took my note 4 to a cell phone store to get it rooted and he said note4's are the hardest to root is this true? Is it worth the risk to get my note4 rooted?

I had a Note 4 last year and it was rooted. I put several custom roms on there. It takes some time and patience to do it right. But once you do it a few times its not bad. Look over at XDA website. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4
I'm looking getting another one to replace my Note 7 (RIP). Hope this helps.

Re: Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

I rooted my Note 4. Had fun customising it but in the end I got back to original firmware as Android Pay isn't working on rooted Note 4's.

Re: Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

I just found a Note 4 and I'm on Verizon. I would want to root it to do two things. 1) get rid of touchwiz 2) Install TWRP and Titanium Backup. The thing that I most DO NOT want to lose is the great Samsung camera. Other than those two things I can do enough mods to the phone with apps from the Play Store. I haven't looked to see if the Verizon Note 4 is rootable and if there is a pure Android ROM of some sort.

Why do you want to get rid of TW? If you do you will loose some options available only on TW including the camera. You can install Omega Rom which is debloated TW. You loose nothing except Android Pay.

What cell phone store did you take your phone to get it rooted? I did not know there are places that will root phones.

Re: Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

My Note4 has been rooted for years. Not sure about cross posting but this has been by far the most stable rom.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3330135

So much customization... Unbelievable!

Warning.. I meant to add that this rom I linked is for the Sprint variant Note4 ONLY! Do not try to flash this rom on any other Note4 variant!

I guess I can't link it.. Maybe I can mention it. On XDA Developers website there's a rom for the Note4. It's a Note5 port with MOAR, it's hands down the most stable rom available for a rooted Note4.

Oops.. I guess it took a while for the above link to post.

Re: Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

I'm running a Note 7 ROM on my Note 4 and it literally feels like a new device.

It zips and zooms and the battery is literally eons better than what I used to get in stock. Well, not eons, but it is much better than what I'm used to.

Screen Time is currently 4 and a half hours.

Does this Rom have the Theme Store and other Note 7 features? Where can I get it?

Re: Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Yes, it is practically a full port of the Note 7. The only thing I couldn't really find is Secure Folder, then again it's the Verizon version, and we all know what Verizon does to their software.

It's called "Note4Grace", it can be found under the Verizon Note 4 Development ran on XDA forums.

I applied a nice clean looking theme throughout.
To be honest, Samsung has polished up Touchwiz or "Grace UX" so much, I actual left the default Theme on for quite some time, until I found this one.

No crashing, smooth, and doesn't affect battery life in the least bit.

I have a Note 4 I originally got from Verizon. However, I just recently switched to T-mobile and brought the phone over with me. With that in mind, which software should I look for...Verizon or T-mobile?

Thanks!
