Is 'selective' predictive text possible?

For example, I have predictive text active so that I can use the T9 Trace (Swype) feature which I absolutely LOVE! The problem is, everytime I try to type a person's name, predictive text will change it. So, is there a way that you can use the T9 Trace feature but then 'disable' predictive text when you want to type unique words and names? Hope this makes sense as I am somewhat technologically challanged

The only solution I've found is the fact that autocorrect only works on the last word in the text, so let it choose the wrong one, start the next word, then manually correct the autocorrected one and it won't change it. A "don't autocorrect this word" key would be nice.

My swipe text seems to have learned a few of the common names I type. It even capitalizes some of them. I think you have to type them out first though. For example, a friend of mine has the last name Fagbemi. I typed it once normally and now it predicts when I fry to swipe it. How that helps.
