Is Sprint HTC One M8 Software Update - 3.30.651.2 update still available?

I recently had problems sending texts and making calls on my HTC One M8, so Sprint decided to send me a replacement (refurbished). I've gotten this replacement restored, but I haven't been able to get the latest update (software version 3.30.651.2). I'm still running OS 4.4.3, and my previous phone was showing 4.4.4. I tried and tried to get it to update, to no avail. Now I'm beginning to wonder if the update was what was causing my problems with texts and calls?

Tuesday night I spent over four hours with HTC Support, trying to get the update manually loaded. Still unable to do this, so I took into a local Sprint repair center. After talking to the technicial, he recommended I not install this update, due to numerous problems they were seeing with it. In fact, he said that it may be that Sprint actually pulled the update due to this. Has anyone heard that? That would certainly save a lot of people from going through all the hassles I had to endure. I'm thinking they may not want to admit they had to pull it, because it would be an admission that they released an updated that caused harm to customers' phones.

I've had my HTC One m8 Harman Kardon since the 2nd of December. I did all the updates up until 4 .4.3. But 4.4.4 eyrenhancement wasn't available at the time I received my device. I read online myself that itson was causing battery issues for a lot of HTC One m8 users. I believe sprint quietly pulled the update!

I had my Sprint M8 at 4.4.4 since it came out and have had no problems, and still have good battery life. It's important to make sure all apps are updated including HTC service packs, with eliminated the ItsOn app issue.

Well......

I didn't get that update (dated 12/19/14) according to the HTC website....

But I did get something today (12/22/14). It's is listed as system update version 3.31.654.2. It indicates bug fixes, yet I haven't found a changelog anywhere...

I am using a Sprint HTC M8 (H&K) phone.

Anyone getting this update and any ideas as what it contains?

I downloaded the update, noticed now I have sense 6 and phone was switched to ART, still have 4.4.4

Was that the 651 or 654 update you got? I got 651,and my phone is still set for Dalvek.

Got 651.2 in October and 654 today and it did switch to ART.

I wonder if that's why mine didn't update to Art. As I mentioned in my original post, for some reason, I was unable to pull 3.30.651.2 released in October. I previously had it on my first phone, and now I'm thinking it was the culprit for my problems with texts and outgoing calls on that device. No issues yet with this release, and finally got the 4.4.4 OS, along with the HTC Eye updates.

Got 651.2 in October and 654 today and it did switch to ART.

I was not aware of a previous update in October. Phone prompted me today. In software section it says I'm on 3.31.651.2

3.31.651 is what we were until todays update. It should update you to 654, now that you're current....

Huh, I updated this morning after getting the prompt and I'm now on 3.31.651.2 according to the software screen. I also updated back in October (Eye Experience update).

Yup with Sprint, I do remember getting the camera update a while back. But yes, when I downloaded this today is where I am now.

Maybe you should manually switch it to ART. It seems to be working great after the update...
