Is Sprint Pre-Loading M?

I noticed that when I go to the Storage screen under Settings there is a large amount of Miscellaneous being used on both my wife's G4 and mine. By far the biggest entry under Miscellaneous is System Data which for me is currently at 4.65 GB and my wife's is over 9 GB. And these seem to be slowly growing every day. Is this a pre-load for Marshmallow?

Ummm i dont think so. What I've found with the System Data space is that it's composed of mostly what you saved on the phone (backup data or system backup copy). I don't think there is anything you can do about it. It's stuff that makes the phone run. A factory reset will reduce it mainly because you are back to a bare phone. When u start adding apps and utilities which "change" how the phone reacts with apps the System Data grows because now it will have new "rules" to follow for this and that to work properly. That's how i see it.
