Hi All.

I currently have Verizon S4 which came unlocked for Global roaming / GLobal use. Which means i can go to any country and simply buy a local SIM, Insert in my S4 and it will work fine without any unlocking / codes etc.

Is T-Mobile Note3 is also already unlocked for Global roaming? Can i use a Global SIM card while i am in other country? Or do i have to ask for a unlock code to use a Other Country SIM card.

PLease help.

You have to get it unlocked, the phone has to be paid off.

This. If your phone is paid off they will unlock it if you ask and then you can use other carriers in other countries.

SIM unlock requirements
As a current or previous T-Mobile customer, you may request a SIM unlock code for your device directly from T-Mobile, without charge. In order to qualify to receive the SIM unlock code your device must not be reported as lost, stolen, or blocked, and you meet the following criteria:

You have purchased your device from T-Mobile or an authorized T-Mobile dealer and activated it on T-Mobile service
You have requested no more than 2 SIM unlock codes per line of service in the last 12 months
You provide proof of purchase if T-Mobile is unable to verify purchase
Your account is in good standing
Your device has been completely paid off
Your device has been active on the T-Mobile network for 40 days
You have used the device in the past 7 days on the mobile number requesting the SIM unlock
If you are under a service contract, you have made monthly payments for at least 18 consecutive months on your plan, or have paid a migration fee for the device
If you are on a Prepaid plan, you have had more than $50 in total refills on the device
If you are a former customer, your account balance is zero and you did not port out a line associated with the device during the buyer?s remorse period

Why pay when I could have them give it for free? As dpham said there are some restrictions but.. If you qualify.. Why not go the free route? :).

If you dont meet the restrictions like i didnt they wont, my phone is paid off, i bought it outright but they wont unlock until its been on there own network for 40 days

I believe that there is also a root method to unlock?

Re: is TMobile Note3 already unlocked for Global use?

I've had my Note3 with T-Mobile since November 2013. New customer, ported number. Paid the down payment and making the monthly cost for the phone and am on Jump.

I chatted with T-Mobile on line, asked them to sim unlock the note 3. They checked my account, created a ticket and in 24 hours, they emailed me the instructions to unlock my phone.

This was my second chat with them. On first one, they told me I had to make two payments first. Once I made the first two monthly payments, chatted them back and they followed through.

No complaints!

I belive verizon allows you to use any phone that is a world phone in other countries but will not allow you to unlock it for domestic use untill the device is paid off.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is factory sim unlocked. No restriction in carrier (domestic or international) and no requirement for the device to be paid off. Both my note 3's and my note 2, iPhone 5s and s3 are all still under contract but will work on tmobile or ATT at this time.
