Is the a shortcut to turn data off?

I'm on Verizon but you might be able to put a shortcut on a home screen using Quick Shortcut Maker. I've been using this app for many years on all my Android devices for shortcuts that Verizon doesn't think us users need. It's free and works fantastic. Link to it in the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut

Once you install the app, open it and do a search for "mobile data". What I found on my Verizon version is this in the screenshot, that will bring up the screen with a toggle to turn it on or off. I just tried it after seeing this thread. Once you find the correct toggle, you can test it before creating the shortcut on your home screen. At that point it would just be a tap on the shortcut which would open the screen with the switch and then tap on the switch to toggle on or off.

Edit: Here is a video I made showing how to set it up: https://youtu.be/hkVLTgMpRXo

Thanks a ton!!!!!!

Well, somebody flagged the video for review and now I have a strike against me for the first time ever on YouTube after 10 or 15 years, resulting in removal of the video and my account being suspended, so thanks to whoever did that. I just received an email from YouTube stating all of this. Apparently, I can't post a video showing how to do something in an app without getting in trouble, although I've done it MANY times and several videos I've posted are still up. So, you probably won't be able to see the video thanks to some douçhebag.

I found the data setting, but when I created the icon I can't find it. Does the app create and icon on the phone? Ps. The video was removed 😫

Yes, the app puts a shortcut on your home screen. Once you test it and it works like you want by tapping on "try", go back and tap create at the bottom which then puts a shortcut on a home screen.

The heck with YouTube. I'm done with them if they think this video violates their policies. I set up a Vimeo account and here is the video.

Forgot to mention, you can also change the name of the shortcut as well as the icon for it, prior to creating the shortcut. It's one of my all time favorite apps.

It looks as off the app doesn't support Orio that's why the shortcut isn't working. 😪. I came across another app that works the same. I appreciate all the tips.

Do you have a link to the app? I didn't even realize that QuickShortcutMaker was from 2014 until I looked at the info page in the Play Store. It's just always worked fine but I'd like a supported, current app that does the same thing.

Check out "Shortcut Creator"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alextern.shortcuthelper. I also tried tiles and this is great, you can access via the quick settings.

Yep, they sent me an email and said they screwed up. The Vimeo video is a little more detailed.

I tried to use the quick shortcut app from Playstore, but it did not work on my Verizon Samsung Note8 today.

The Win10 ADB is very intriguing to me, but I missed something along the way to make it work.
Hoping someone who is still watching this thread is able to steer me on track.

TIA,
John
