Is the camera any better?

From this article it says it won't come through ota but side load smart switch

https://9to5google.com/2020/03/18/galaxy-s20-autofocus-update/

"As it stands right now, the update is not rolling out as an OTA, but is rather available for sideloading through Samsung Smart Switch."

It says as it stands now, meaning they have not started the OTA in whichever one region they are planning to push the update and fanboys will go crazy saying shut up and Samsung has already push the update

The OTA will start eventually in that region and probably few weeks before it starts making million other variants one by one.

But my question here , smart switch is not Odin , how would you sideload it from there ?

Ah ok I have never used smart switch, I guess what they are saying is the update for that region/version is available in the Samsung servers and smart switch will check for update directly there and pull the update. I'm guessing probably that's what they mean and misusing the sideload term?

Hahaha ..I think so also , I use both .

Don't watch this if can't take anything bad about the phone

This is kinda surprising to me. I would have not expected the s20 Ultra to get outperformed by the pro max on so many benchmarks (excluding the camera). Pro max came out 5 months ago. I still love my Ultra - these are both awesome devises. The best of the best. And can't forget the s20+ also.

Edit - Here is another good comparison of the s20 Ultra vs iPhone 11 pro max. https://www.tomsguide.com/face-off/galaxy-s20-ultra-vs-iphone-11-pro-max-battle-of-the-giant-phones

Yea with the situation we're in I can wait a little, but hoping that we at least get it the 1st week of April.
Nice, that's great improvement especially the auto focus !!! Let's hope we get the updates in the US within next couple of weeks. My guess is it'll roll early next month along with the April security update.

Autofocus is just a minor software issue, and yes it will most likely get fixed. There are ton of other issues with camera

In the video he claims they also addressed the focusing issue where parts of an object were out of focus. We don't know what else was or wasn't addressed until someone does a comprehensive review. After 16 days with this device I'm not seeing a lot of issues with the camera.

Me neither, just the autofocus. not sure what all these other issues are. Looks like this update takes care of it

Well, it doesn't autoshoot indoors as well as the Pixel or iPhone. The biggest complaint I hear is for taking pictures of moving objects like small children and furry pets. Oh, and some aren't happy with the smoothing effects of their selfies. A lot aren't happy that it's not leaps and bounds better than other flagships including their own prior models.

Yes the close up motion shots are not great. The further away u get it takes much better motion shots. Not sure if the autofocus will fix that or not.
