I have the low light camera freeze bug (what a bother) that's been talked about. Is it fixed in 4.2.2? Give me something to look forward too in update.

Thanks.

I've had camera freezes on 4.2.1, I'll keep an eye on on 4.2.2 and report back if it happens again.
Since it was an intermittent problem, it's kind of hard to tell yet if it's been solved :P)

Both my wife and I have experiences bug 40996 (which google marked as a duplicate of 40875) where the camera will freeze and stop taking pictures
Issue 40996 - android - Nexus 4 - Camera App Stops Taking Photos (4.2.1) - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting
Issue 40875 - android - Nexus 4 camera flash bug (could also be on other devices with 4.2) - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

Is this issue you are referring to?

bug 40875 has been marked as closed so I am assuming it is part of 4.2.2.
My wife got the 4.2.2. update yesterday so I will ask her to keep an eye on it.

I can verify the camera big is still alive and well with the 4.2.2 update. Maybe worse as it caused a phone reboot. Fix it Google.

why would you not get a Nexus device?

I'm curious, what low light situations are you trying to get a photo in and how low is low light?

Mid day in doors, light thru two windows. Horrible horrible. It was an easy shot with my old 1st Gen Note.

I don't see it. I take images like that frequently and as long as there is enough light to see something, everything works. I'm not implying that the problem doesn't exist, just that it must not be consistent in all N4's. Have you tried the same shot using other camera apps?

I hadn't thought of a different camera app. If it works, the stock app will be for photo-sphere only.

when rotating orientation it use to take 2-3 seconds to rotate but now it takes 1.5 to rotate which is still bad.
fixed few cropping issues on camera. apart from that i dont see a lot fixed on camera app.

since the camera app is a new app most of the issues are because of that
