is the dna bluetooth smart?

I want a Fitibit. I would like it to sync with my DNA but it says it will only sync with Bluetooth Smart devices. Apparently just Bluetooth 4.0 is not enough info? I need to know if it is SMART? Where do I look for this....

Don't know too much about that but I'm pretty sure it'll sync up just fine. The DNA has all of the latest bluetooth technology, I've used it first hand making phone calls, text messages, and streaming music through bluetooth.


Edit: After a short google search it looks like the DNA is not Bluetooth smart, but I believe it is bluetooth smart ready. So I think it will work with your device, but I cannot say with a huge degree of certainty.

After a little more googling, Bluetooth 4.0, Bluetooth low energy, and Bluetooth smart all come in Bluetooth 4.0. So to answer OP's question, yes it will work with your Bluetooth Smart device.

Bluetooth smart is technology that allows bluetooth to do a lot more things that involve different types of data transfer instead of music, phone calls, and texting, and allows the devices to do it at a low power requirement.

It depends which Fitbit. So far the only Android devices that are certified with the Fitbit Flex are the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2. Fitbit said they are working on adding more phones to the compatibility list. I tried it on my DNA and no go but works fine on my Note 2. The Jawbone UP works with most Android phones including the DNA and has a couple of features the Fitbit doesn't have that I really like. You have to sync through the headphone jack, but I don't find that to be an issue. Good luck!
