I used both as my daily driver . Went regular to edge back to regular now back to edge . I like regular for the fact there are plenty of glass protector options. There is only one or two for the edge and they are expensive (in haven't tried glass protector for the edge ) . At first the edge felt weird but with my align clear case (super thin ) everything feels just right . I am more.ckncer ed with the screen incase of a drop but that goes with the territory or trying the latest and greatest . I like how easy it is the swipe in for menu on all the apps that allow it the curved screen really helps with that . I also do use the favorites app so it's a benefit for me . Like everyone else said it's mostly how.it looks for now but the hidden benefit.for me was swiping left and right in apps for menus is really smooth. Videos seem to give me some sort.of visual effect that I like which I can't explain . After going back and forth twice, I believe the edge is the one for me this round until the next toy ...

100% w/o a doubt worth the $100.00 for the display alone. Text seems to be 3D and almost float compared to the flat display of the regular S6. Hard to imagine going back to a last generation flat display after 1 week with the Edge. Not sure what people are complaining about with glare, I haven't noticed it at all.

I am not saying the S6 is any better. I am only commenting on the S6 edge because that is what I bought. I would assume that the S6 is the same. I would add that my iphone 6 + has much less glare and is much better outside.

Yea I don't know man, I don't have any problems whatsoever with my edge outside in direct sunlight. Just check on auto brightness and it ramps the screens brightness up above what it can even do with it ramped up manually and auto brightness turned off (as discussed literally everywhere by now) no problems at all. Nice and bright and crisp. Best, brightest phone I've ever had. Came from a G3 to the edge... Night and day difference in direct sunlight!

Yes, auto brightness works very well actually. It's a function that usually annoys me, but works very well here. In sunlight it gets super bright and saturated and looks great!

Really the only thing notable about the Edge is the sheer beauty of it! Oh yeah, you can have it light up in specific colors on the "edge" to notify you of who's calling. Big problem for me is the lack of a tempered glass screen protector-probably never will be one...

And the first couple of days the battery was not good. But now after disabling the bloat the battery is better then my iPhone 6.

Can you explain what you meant by "disabling the bloat"? Thanks!!

When people say that they don't like a certain phone and take it back and get another one, what do they mean by that? If I go to best buy and get an iPhone, sign a 2year contract and pay. After I few days, I don't like it and want to get an S6 instead, do I go back to best buy and exchange it? How does it work?

I am an iPhone 4 user and really want to get the Edge but since I have never used an android phone before, I am afraid that I might not like it and get stuck with a 2 yr contract unless I pay the penalty and get out of the contract.

Well, there are a few ways. I buy all my cellphones at full price. That way I am not locked into a contract. I also treat my phone like a baby, so it's in perfect condition when I sell it on EBAY to get back some money to buy the next biggest thing! My carrier is Verizon...when I purchase a phone, I have 14 days to return it to Verizon if I don't want it. Even if you buy a Verizon phone online, you can also return it to a local Verizon Wireless Store for an exchange or a refund(minus a $35.00 restocking fee). Like renting a car for a few days...

Well, I decided to return the Edge and purchase the S6! I just couldn't stand the fact that there is no tempered glass screen protector for the Edge. I'll be damned if I'm going to put PET film on a phone anymore...

I don't know what you're doing to see a 3D display on the Edge...let me know...I do have a curved Samsung television so I know the appeal, but I don't see the point of spending a hundred dollars more and not being able to apply a decent screen protector.:-$

Initially I felt the S6 EDge was worth the extra money but the overall feel and day to day use resulted in a return and back to a regular S6. Miss having it but not enough to switch back right now. I will see how Samsung does on the S7 Edge varaint.

As hard as I am on phones I couldn't justify the edge, so I put that money into getting a 64GB regular over a 32. My father on the other hand is easy on phones and may pick up an edge. My sister will probably pick up a regular to replace her iPhone 4S and we'll be iPhone free.

I used both and opened Flipboard and held them side by side. Compared to the last generation flat screen on the S6, the content on the Edge display just popped up and looked much more 3D. Flat screens are like the flat earth, things in the past. $100.00 is a small price to pay for something so awesome!

I've been using the Edge every day for 2 weeks and have no "feel" or ergonomic issues at all. By day, it sits safely in my UAG Ash case, by night it's naked so it can be fondled appropriately.
