Is the Galaxy S9+ too big?

a mm? [ Insert Tony Stark eye rolling gif here ] OMG how many times are we going to have the same exact discussion? The S8+ has been out for nearly a year. You know the PLUS will be bigger than the S9... if someone didn't buy the S8+ or the Note 8 because it was too big why do they need to even ask about the S9+? YOU KNOW IT WILL BE TOO BIG FOR YOU.
What if the person talking is a rich teenager with a growth spurt? Anthony Davis grew like over 1ft from 1st yr HS til graduation.

Is the S9+ better?

Hello guys, what do you think of spend extra money for get a Second Camara, more Size, more battery and more RAM? For me is worth.

People complaining about the size of the S8+ (or Note 8) have obviously forgotten about the LG Vue, the Nexus 6, and the Samsung Mega!

Advantage of S9/S9+ done S8

Very slight improvements in these areas:

Battery life
Speed and smoothness
Screen
Speakers
Camera
Biometrics (intelligent scan)
Fingerprint sensor position
Signal with T-Mobile
One hand usability

“Slight”is a subjective term, but:

The speakers are FAR better. Stunningly so.

Camera has optical zoom and much better low light quality

Chipset 30% faster

I agree with “slight” for the other stuff.

Re: Is the S9+ better?

I see your new. Welcome. Is the s9 plus better than what? I think you'll find that depends on what each individual user wants from their device. But feel free to look at some of the many many threads already started on this topic. There's already a ton of information on here. And feel free to use the search option if you have additional questions. There's lots of info here.

Re: Advantage of S9/S9+ done S8

I constantly charge my note8 all day the standby drain is bad. I have to constantly keep wiping my system cache. The note 8 was good but even when I had the S8 Plus that lasted much longer.

I have S8 too. It is mpre sexier that s9 but I'm just curious about the S9 :)
S8 really lasted much longer.

Re: Advantage of S9/S9+ done S8

I'm coming from the S8 to the note 8 to the S9 and I'm excited, mainly because the note is a bit uncomfortable for me to use. So I'm looking forward to getting back to a smaller form factor, plus any new features. Every year I get the Note and every year I sell it after like 4 months. Love the phone but I suffer from rsi so it becomes a problem.

S series are more easier to use than note series. I saw the S9, so sexy :)

Re: Is the S9+ better?

I think it comes down to screen size and if you like it better than the smaller one, it's debatable if the ram will make much difference or not and if you want the extra 2x lens...for me size was the deciding factor after studying how much ram was being used with the apps I use. I went for the reg s9, the camera is VERY important to me but im willing to live without the extra lens for now as I prefer the smaller form factor

The extra RAM will lead to an overall much more fluid user experience (just compare the Galaxy S8 to the Note 8). Battery life is also bind to be better on the +

Re: wich one is better

If you like the features of the S9 or S9+ then that is which is better for you. How can someone else tell you which is better not knowing anything more than your name is comprised of numbers.

Is that a real question? Which is better.. Mustang or Mustang GT? Depends if you ask the commuter or the racer.

Re: wich one is better

All depends on your preference. Personally I wouldn't even look at the S9. I've preordered the S9Plus. I just prefer the larger style phones and this one is a great size for me.

Re: wich one is better

I'm disappointed that they had to copy Apple's way of making the smaller version wacker. I wanted the smaller version with 2 cameras.

I believe 'copying' Apple's way is only part of the reason if at all. Especially since the trend nowadays it seems is that Samsung is going out of its way to go another path from Apple (unlike before when it was pretty close). They're the stubborn ones who stuck with the headset jacks and no notch this year after all.

I believe part of the reason is the Note 7. Samsung learned its lesson in trying to cram everything in the smallest space possible. So I believe that's why they're not putting the dual cam on the smaller one. If you also notice, Samsung's camera modules take more space than other devices do.

I checked the avg amount of ram being used on a note 8 that had several apps open and it had 3.3gb residing in ram... this included internet browser with 5 tabs open, messages, camera, youtube, google maps, calendar, contacts, music ,photos, weather, google play store, chess game, one note and a slew of others...a new s9 had less than 2gb being used
