Is the haptic home button gone ?

On my note 9 I was in the habit of pressing the home button to wake the screen. Is this not an option on the S10+?

No, unfortunately it's gone. You can double tap to wake and do so without a swipe up to unlock.

Double tap to wake is easy to get used to. Didn't take me long at all.

for some reason, the double tap is not reliable on my S10+. I haven't done a thing with the screen since I got it, but it isn't consistent in how it responds.

Contrast that with my new Tab S5e, which is dead reliable on double tap.
