I see on reviews that the 4s is faster browser and all than this phone? Is this true even with it being LTE and the 4S not? How is this possible? Im thinking switching back from Apple to android and get this phone

Can't vouch for the 4s, but over the same WiFi the iPhone 4 definitely competes(occasionally faster) with the one x when loading mobile sites. Desktop sites though, iPhone 4 doesn't load the same material on the site or as fast. So one x > iP4 imo

Stock HTC browser is pretty horrible in the first place. although i expect the browser to be decent, i just didn't like it. i downloaded Chrome for Android because it's much faster to me.

Hmm is it really that much better? I may have to try it out.

To be honest, to ME, when using the HTC One X with the Google Chrome browser, the iPhone 4S can't touch it. And yes, I've tested this side by side.

I tried websites with a lots of graphics\ads, like CrackBerry.com, and BBC, and CNN.

Now, on a side note, if only one could get Google Chrome on the Samsung Skyrocket without having ICS installed ;)

I think it maybe due to flash content. Safari on iphone doesn't load this therefore making it faster where-as htc stock browser loads flash material by default unless you turn it off. Chrome maybe a better browser than stock, but its speed increase could be due to the fact that it too doesn't support flash content therefore rendering pages faster

...good points. I wasn't even thinking about the whole flash thing. I knew there was a reason why I was back on Android, and not iOS

But, I digress ;)

The fun of it is, iPhonies don't always know what they're missing until they see a full-up flash browser. Then they go WTF?

i see what you mean. i completely forgot that Chrome didn't have Flash on it's mobile version. then again i don't get on too many Flash heavy pages on my phone so it slipped my mind.

HOX on LTE will load pages much faster then the 4s on 3g, not even close. However, on wifii the 4s beats the HOX barely using Chrome browser vs. Safari.

With both phones on HSPA+ loading the same websites, my One X consistently loads pages faster than my 4S. There are a few sites that load faster on the 4S but generally speaking the One X loads pages faster. (Using the Chrome beta)

Nonsense. I turn plugins off on Android browsers. Don't feel like I'm missing anything at all on the iOS side as most sites now can serve up HTML5 video in place of Flash.

Love the Chrome mobile browser and it does seem faster than my iPhone 4S to me.

I also forgot it doesn't have flash. After being on the iPhone for so long, honestly, I don't even miss flash when I'm browsing. Then again, I tend to not do a lot of heavy browsing on my phone these days.

I used to have an iphone 4 and no contest the One X renders all the pages I check out much faster. Keep in mind that the One X has LTE so download speeds will obviously be way faster. This is with the standard browsers on both phones.

No, no they really don't.
