Is the laser focus fast?

I was wondering if the laser focusing on the camera is much faster than other phones? for example, does it seem to do a pretty quick job of focusing on moving objects like toddlers?

I'm disappointed in the focus speed of the G4. You'd think with a lower aperture and laser focus, it'd be faster than the s6, sadly it is not. The s6 focuses and fires faster than the G4, indoors anyway. It's too bad, because I like every other thing about the g4 over the s6 (screen, software, battery life).

I use the quick shot feature and in low light situations it takes several seconds to focus.

Right now, I'm using my Moto X 2014, and I'm not at all disappointed with the focusing speed, just wondered if the G4's laser might be faster.
