Is the Nokia 6 worthy?

I'm considering buying a Nokia 6. I'm trying to find a good phone in Android camp since I'm coming from W10M but the amount of options are really overwhelming.

I'm a fan from Nokia and this is the closest I can get to the original Nokias before Microsoft acquisition.

So, is this phone worthy or a Moto G5 or Galaxy J7 Pro are the real options?

If you need more information I can answer questions.

The Nokia 6 compares pretty favorably to those devices, it's really just down to the "small" things you might need (NFC, screen size, notification LED, removable battery, etc) as that's different across the devices.

I've had mine in the UK since they came out and I am really happy with it.

I also moved from a Windows 10 Mobile Lumia 950 - Ok the camera is not as good but for what I use it for it's great. Also getting monthly patches from HMD / Nokia is a real bonus.

Loving mine. Using it over a Note 4 and S7 Edge that I have. it's fast enough despite what the tech reviewers would tell you. screen is nice. build quality is as good as any flagship device. camera is better than people give it credit for. lack of OIS can be problematic in some situations but it's perfectly serviceable and will take great shots if you know what you're doing.

btw mine has NFC. updates are speedy. we got 7.1.2 today.

I recently moved from WM10 Lumia 950 to a Nokia 8 and my wife got a Nokia 6. They are both great phones IMHO. The 6 is built like a tank and the 8 looks almost as robust. The difference between the two is a better camera and screen on the 8. You may prefer the look and feel of the 8 as well.

It's more expensive so up to you.

We are also about to get an update to Android 7.1.2 - October patch I think. So Nokia / HMD are really keeping on top of he operating side as well.

Yes it is worthy, hw is better for it's price, metal feels and looks good, display is clear and bright, vanilla Nougat with quick security/system updates (just received the 7.1.2 update) and will get Oreo among the first etc.

Nokia and HDM have really made a great phone and this (and the 8 and 9 etc) are the closest you can get that reminds one from the times of Symbian, Maemo, Meego (N9xx series) greatness times, hardware-wise that is. With Nokia 6, for the first time, I started using Android and I really like it being non-customized plain Nougat (Oreo) system w/o all those other manufacturers horrible UI customisations and system tweaks and hacks.

Recommended warmly 🙂

I'm getting mine today, but I can tell you that coming from the Moto line, that motorola has made a design decision that ended my fandom. They make great phones, but for some stupid reason they decided that the earpiece speaker could also double as a speakerphone speaker and a ringer speaker. At least once a month the phone would trick me into holding it next to my ear canal while it screamed "CALLING JOHN DOE - MOBILE!!!" into my ear, or worse, ringing when I didn't swipe to answer quite right. Seriously, it hurts like hell and I cuss and throw it every time.

It never broke, but I'm sick of it.
