All of the indications I am getting from VZW and from BB is that it won't be until next Thursday/Friday.

My best buy originally told me 10/17 but I still haven't gotten an email, I'm expecting 10/23 at this point

You will know when it is 2 days out, when all the people that preordered start announcing their shipping notifications came.

I would assume that if the shipping date when you PRE-ORDRED (in my case 9/22) was 10/23 it will remain 10/23. If you pre-order TODAY, or YESTERDAY when the date changed, you're backordered and have to wait. If I get some crap about having to wait until 10/31 when I ordered the thing almost a month ago, I WILL remove my can of whoopa$$ from the cupboard and go off. Just sayin.

I've called around at local bestbuys and verizon stores and they all say we will have to wait until the 23rd. However Verizon did say that to purchase in store will be the 27th. I'm not sure why there's a delay for in store purchases but it was confirmed by 2 different stores in different states. So for those of us who preordered you should feel better knowing that you wouldn't have been able to just walk in and buy it. I just hope preorders don't get pushed off to the 27th.

However, I'm pretty sure it's the right one. I had heard something about the 17th being the "in store" date and the 23rd being the pre-order date. Oh well, less than a week as long as they keep my 10/23 date from ordering the white one on the first day of pre-order!
