Is the Note 8 going to be too big?

So they change the aspect ratio to make them easier to hold and that somehow alienates women? Lol

She uses her phones in landscape mode so the longer phone is a problem. Doesn't want to use split keyboard either. It is almost one centimeter longer and it matters. She also says if she were to use it singlehanded, she surely couldn't reach for the notification bar. Also apparently it won't fit in all her small purses anymore. Depends alot on the case. I have a well padded leather folio case which makes my S8plus feel like a wallet. And that's not too big.

Im not the biggest far of the size. I dont understand why they have to keep it so thin from side to side. I like the feel of my note 5 in a slim case. As a us woman over a size 10, i dont see the issue of wider and taller. I still feel like this size or 18.5x9 thing is more for the European or samsungs "home tuff". Considering that people of that descent tend to be more petite.

And as a woman, i use the S pen for everything, not sure why youd used a note sideways unless the game you play is laid out that way, even then i use the s pen to type 90% of the time.

It is 9 mm difference from Note4. Not everyone has bought 3 phones since Note7 fiasco.

Note 4 user here, it's still going.
Excited to hold and see the Note 8.
I did play around with the S8+ and it's a fine piece of machinery.
But the N8 is going to be even bigger, taller at least, than the N4 or the S8+.
Wondering if that will be just too big.
Case it and it'll literally be a tablet in your pocket. I'd hate to miss the N8 and get the S8+ because I love the Spen.
But, at some point, any phone/phablet may just get too big to be comfortable in a jeans pocket.
I realize that everyone doesn't put them in their pocket, but some still do.

I have the S8+ and it fits just fine in my back pocket and I don't think the Note 8 will be that much bigger to make any difference. I know several have listed the dimensions but I have to visually see it. When the S8+ came out I was not having it, I thought it was too tall. I wanted it look more like the Notes, and I loved my Note 7 but I didn't want the S8 because it was no bigger than my 7 Edge and I did want bigger/wider but I wasn't happy with the height of it but I broke down and got it anyway and now I am glad I did but I will be getting the Note 8.

I like huge phones. A lot of people do, as long as there's a market then they'll probably make them. I have a Xiaomi that's bigger than anything and I just loved it. (Other than the camera sucked LOL)

I love my note 5 and it's going to be a hard choice. I love new stuff however I think the note 9 will give us everything that we wanted in the 8. I think I need to work on my patience because the are going to be tested severely!

I liked my Note 5 too but after even a short time with the two Note 7s, the Note 5 battery was lacking... that's why my Note 5 is in a box and I'm using an S7 Active w/4000mAh!

Granted this is a Prototype pic of the Note 8, but based on the DirecTV Video of the new Galaxy S8 Active I just saw, I think I may have just talked myself out of the Note 8 because of the size! I have gotten so used to the S7 Active that's been holding me over waiting for the Note 8, and it's "Beast" qualities and Battery Life, why the hell do I need a Dual Camera, an S-Pen and a way too Tall, Skinny $1000+ Note 8 when I can get the Galaxy S8 Active in two weeks with 4000mAh for supposedly $850 and keep on truckin'?
