With the physical protection bumpers added, it's a tad bigger than the regular S8?
I'm just being facetious. This thread makes me laugh. LoL

Yeah, I shouldn't even be talking about that phone in this thread either!
I'm trying to decide whether to hold out for the Note 8 or spend $850 and get the S8 Active tomorrow at my AT&T Store. I love my S7 Active - it was just supposed to be a "hold me over" from the Note 7 to the Note 8 but it's really grown on me. Driving me Knuckin' Futz!
Why don't you just wait and play with them both and then decided? I'm sure a few weeks won't make a difference in the grand scheme of things. And this is coming from someone with a S7Edge that basically doesn't and won't probably ever work right again. *sigh*
Yeah, I can wait - the S7 Active IS working fine! No need to race into something... once the Note 8 is in Store, I can go in and handle both and make a decision. I held an S8+ when they first came out and I really did not like that new aspect ratio so that's what has me worried. We'll see! Thanks for listening...
Oh no. It was my pleasure. No need for thanks. These boards are built for awesome discourse. Part of me wants to smash my current phone the day I get my new one. My hatred for this phone knows no bonds lol

So the actual gif was more awesome than the still that uploaded, but I still stand by this baseball bat.
I got the point loud and clear! Grand slam
I don't think it's too big. I've played with the s8+ and it's OK. I would prefer wider for the Note though. I'd rather have the horizontal space as opposed to vertical, although I get the vertical helps in Scrolling through social media. Samsung gives the option to reduce screen size so that probably helps for one handed use. Idk, I don't mind using both hands to text.
I agree. I'd rather have wider. Make it like the Note 5 size and it would be perfect!
I'm waiting a couple months until there are deals on this and will stick with my s8 plus until then. By then I'll see more reviews and get to handel it in the stores.
I just worry it will be too long and I'll have problems putting it in my front pocket.
I'm not waiting. Release day I'm going in store because this S7E is touching my last nerve with a wire coat hanger!
I'm on AT&T Next so I have to use my hubs upgrade cuz the Note 7 debacle threw everything off. He'd still be using a flip phone if he could so... Yeah those with the S8 aren't dying to get rid of it like us with the S7E.
I think if you're OK with the size of the S8+, you'll be fine with the N8. The difference in size is negligible.
Note 4 user here, it's still going.
Excited to hold and see the Note 8.
I did play around with the S8+ and it's a fine piece of machinery.
But the N8 is going to be even bigger, taller at least, than the N4 or the S8+.
Wondering if that will be just too big.
Case it and it'll literally be a tablet in your pocket. I'd hate to miss the N8 and get the S8+ because I love the Spen.
But, at some point, any phone/phablet may just get too big to be comfortable in a jeans pocket.
I realize that everyone doesn't put them in their pocket, but some still do.
I personally think it needs to stop somewhere, or else we will have 'phones' like this:

I hated using the V20 and S7 Edge. IF the V20 was AMOLED I wouldn't have minded using it at all. LCD sucks after using Samsung AMOLED for years.
The S7 Edge was glitchy and too small for me. With the S8 plus I can hold off for it to drop in price. $1000 is too much and factor in the more expensive Note cases as well.
The V30 is going to use POLED screens which they say do not screen burn like AMOLED. As well as size they are one of the few going down in size being smaller than the V20. With new f1.6 aperture camera in their dual set up it should be an interesting phone.
