I am a long time HTC user but this year I tried the S6 for about 20 days, in the beginning I liked it a lot but then some stuff begun to annoy me like pinkish whites when seeing straight the screen ( if you change angle it's whiter lol), it had the ''screen burn-ins'' traces of the board under the screen, limited to 32gb,BT was not autoconnecting to my HTC Stereoclip in my car (I had switch the HTC BT device and restart it so the S6 see it, or manually connect on the S6), no real and complete Car app...so I returned to HTC with the M9!
I bought a PNY Turbo 64gb sd card because of the heavy weight RAW photos, I really like the camera of the M9 in daylight, it can compete and even be better than S6, but for night and low light shots it's a catastrophy unless you resize the photo to a facebook size.
Crazy enough the M9 is the first HTC device I own since the One X that has lags, screen wake up can be at best 0.5 second laggy and could take up to 4 seconds to wake up if an app is eating the CPU. The phone heat a lot randomly with any app, with the camera it heats a lot, snapdragon promised a new driver for the s810 to lower the heat but nobody can confirm.
If I sell my M9 now and take a Note Edge it will cost me about 130$.
I always liked the look of the Note Edge, more than S6 and S6 edge because you feel it's different from any other samsung phone.
My friend had a Note Edge that he swapped with an iphone 6+ (he's an old iphone user meh) and his screen squashed my M9's screen.
The camera is certainly better in low light thanks to the OIS.
Though apart the 130$ I am afraid of:
-Note Edge 2 release will make the Edge 1 ''old''
-The metal border is prone to scratches (I will not use a cover on the already huge size of the Note)
-Snapdragon version music quality over earphones
-The battery percentage is small compared to S6's one!!
