AC Question

On my Galaxy S4, the keyboard had an option to change it to the numeric keypad... "123". It was great for typing long numbers when texting or filling out Internet forms, rather than using the numbers above the regular keys. Is this an option on the S7?

Welcome to Android Central! In case it's gone from the Samsung Keyboard, I can tell you that Google Keyboard has this feature.

I guess they thought you don't need it since there's already a row of numbers on top of the keyboard.

The number row can be a pain if you're entering a whole string of numbers, though. The number pad is a nice feature for that, if available.

Yeah, but the first thing I install is Swiftkey, so no problems with it. It has a good number layout.

Press the gear icon next to the Sym key on the left side of the keyboard>scroll down and enable Number keys setting.

Sometimes when I'm prompted to enter a number the keyboard with only numbers come up on my Android 7 Galaxy however when I try to locate it ,I cannot ...please help thank you

Welcome to Android Central! This is specific to the keyboard, so if you can't find the option in your keyboard app's settings, try installing Gboard (Google's keyboard app), which does allow you to turn on the keypad manually.
