Is the Pixel line a welcome successor to the Nexus line, or would have preferred to see a new Nexus-

Do you actually have a pixel??? It has the best radios I've ever had. Amazing wifi performance, excellent LTE and I have not had a single Bluetooth failure or drop (something I've never been able to say for any device!!!)

Hell no, 19 pages of signal issues on AC has me concerned. :D

And this does: "The HTC handsets are not blatantly deficient -- though the One A9 comes uncomfortably close -- but the 2016 Nexus do spec out typically average or slightly below."

The RF evolution/revolution of the HTC 2016 Nexus - S4GRU Sprint 4G Rollout Updates

What carrier are you with?

Meaning tablet Chromebook? Pixel C is phenomenal.

but pixel C is still android. There are some reasoning behind going with Pixel chromebook compared to Pixel C.

1. no worry about android update. even nexus(now pixel) get only 2 years of update but chromebook pixel will get update for 5 years or more with android run time updated at almost the same.

2. I could use extensions and have website default to desktop compared to mobile on android tablet.

3. I can still enjoy most of android apps.

4. could be a viable laptop replacement for me if I could get the software i need.

5. better multi tasking than android tablet

some apps are not compatible because of missing hardware like gps but i am hoping pixel chromebook could bridge that gap.

I had a Pixel XL. I rotated SIMs from two carriers between the 6P and XL. The Pixel registered ~10dBm weaker than the 6P when measured from the same locations. The Pixel signal would randomly drop to zero. And at other times it would not maintain its WiFi connection. Others have reported this. Yet others have had no issues. As pointed out, there is a thread for this.

I am on T-Mo and have never had a phone with better RF and bluetooth than the Pixel. Also, I have never been able to get WiFi download speeds of 200mbps either (Even 100 was sometimes a reach), and my Pixel nabbed 232mbps. It is absolutely amazing.
