Is the S7 Edge the top of the line now that Note 7 is no more?

With the Note 7 gone, should the S7 Edge still be considered the top of the line for mobile devices once again?

When comparing it to other phones such as Pixel XL, V20, iPhone 7.

S7 edge is Ip68 rated, great camera, SD card slot, AMOLED screen. The V20 has a removeable battery, but not the best screen, and the Pixel is not Ip68 and has no SD card slot and the iPhone 7 is meh.

It's up among the top, yes. Depending on each buyers priorities in a device. Using my normal comparison I'd consider the Edge either the 4th or 5th best device available, but it doesn't take things like having a unique edge screen into account.

Since the Note 7 is no longer available I think the S7E would be considered the top of the line phone from Samsung.

Note 7 was #1, now it's the S7E, IMO. I looked at the Pixel and V20 when considering what to replace my Note7 with, compared side by side the screen, camera, etc and neither has everything the S7E brings to the table.

Pixel does have a comparable screen and camera, but looks like a 3 year old iPhone design, doesn't have wireless charging and no waterproofing.

V20 screen didn't compare (less sharp and less colorful looking at same HD Images) and the camera didn't take nearly as good pix in so-so lighting vs Note 7 (same camera as S7). Phone was big too - bigger than my old Note 4 without a curved screen, so not great to use one handed.

S7 had most of what appealed to me in the N7 minus s-pen, larger screen, and a few other things. Will wait with the S7E till the Note 8 comes out...

Yes, no other phone that's >5.1" has the combination of IP68, expandable storage, wireless charging, and a great camera. These matter to me more than having Android 7 honestly.

My S7e is definitely very quick and a nice change from my V20s and V10. That said, I can't say I like it better at all. It's just different.
