Is the S8 still waterproof if the back is chipped?

Dropped my phone while it was in a case. Case was drop proof and I dropped it on tiles. The case was perfectly fine but my phone cracked instead. Is it still waterproof? The left corner on the glass back has a crack and is slightly chipped and glass is coming off.

As you desribe IT, the phone is No longer waterproff.

1. It was never waterproof, it was water-resistant. There's a difference. If you're out in a mild rain, the phone will be okay. If you splash when you put it into water, some water may get into it.

2. With a chipped back it's no longer water-resistant. You can have the back replaced.

it was waterproof as it was IP68 rated. the send number means how waterproof out of 8. so 8 is very waterproof. have a look at waterproof S8 tests on youtube before deciding it was only water resistant.

not sure if it is waterproof anymore.

these water resistant trols on forums annoy me.
