Is the size of the Nexus 6P an issue for you?

I'll answer "nope" to the OP.... But I have big mitts.... I came from the Nexus 6, whose width was even more pronounced due to the case I put it in to improve grip. But I was still able to one hand that monster most of the time. So going to the 6P was nice... it was noticeably more narrow, and the .3" reduction is screen size isn't really as much of an issue. I've come to the conclusion that the 6P's form factor is probably my most ideal choice.

I have tiny hands, even for a guy. So yeah my thumb cant really get all the way across the screen easily. But I like the size a lot. This screen size is nice.

I don't think the handset is that big. On the other hand, I regularly get comments from friends, co-workers, strangers on the train like "Hey, is that the new iPad?"

I have trouble sitting down with the phone in my front jeans pocket. Otherwise, no issues. Love the phone.

I found that my "ideal" phone size is about 4.75", in fact I switched from the Nexus 5 to the original Moto X because I felt the Nexus 5 was too large. Unfortunately, I'm old enough that I'm starting to really feel the benefit of having a larger screen. So I knew when I ordered, that I'd find the size of the 6P in my had as something less than ideal.

What has surprised me, I don't find the increased size any worse, for me, than the Nexus 5. Basically, they are both "too large" as opposed to my ideal. It is a little larger than I'd like in my pocket and I figured I'd not be able to fully use it one handed. Maybe because I was prepared for it being "too large", it really hasn't bothered me much. I do tend to keep it out of my pocket when I'm sitting but that is about the only concession I've made to its size. I've been very happy with the phone and quit noticing the size after the first week or so.

While I still feel, at least in terms of carrying and holding, that a sub-5" phone is my idea, I've found the larger screen is worth the small lack of ideal comfort.

Coming from the 1st Gen Moto X, I thought I'd have some major issues with the size and how slippery it was. After about 2 weeks, a Ringke case, and some patience, we're like peas n carrots.

I compensate my tiny girl hands for the size of the phone. Can I pull down the notification shade one handed, no. Can I send a text one handed, no. Can i reach the search bar in Chrome one handed, no. But it doesn't take away from the phone for me. It's big, it's beautiful and I don't regret buying it.

You can do all of that with gestures built into Nova Prime or some apps like "Swipe Navigation".

Is anyone having trouble with the size? I love the phone it's just bigger than I thought it would be and have a hard time with it in my pocket or using it with one hand.

Thanks

Fits nicely in my Jean and short pockets with a slim case. But I have small hands, so no one handed use for me . That's the only thing that I'm getting used to after three says. My previous phone was an HTC ONE M8 and I could barely use it one handed. It doesn't feel huge because the N6P is thin and not too wide. If the N5X had a 128GB capacity, better build quality, more RAM and a faster processor, I would have loved that smaller form factor.

Oh yeah, the APP called "pie control" helps out a lot.

I do hate the size. I think if it were 5.5 inches I would accept it. Other than that there is no issues with the phone. The phone is thin enough to fit my Jean pocket and also thin enough that I can type one handed. Maybe not pull down a notification shade but at least I can type

I thought it's be an issue but I adjusted. The big screen and stereo speakers are totally worth it.

With a grippy case no. My fingers just stick to the back and then my thumb is free to navigate. Sounds kind of weird but it works for me. If I get really desperate and I don't have my other hand free I will use my chest to help push the phone back into position (which sounds even weirder but it isn't that conspicuous).

I wanted a big phone even before the 6p came out so I am biased.

What case do you have? I think I need to find one that is grippier :)

It is big, but not SOOO much bigger than my M9. And the screen is great and I kind of like having all that "pixel real-estate". I am wavering on being able to retire the Samsung Tab S 8.4 tablet.

6p is a little top heavy, I have found I feel a bit more secure if I stick it in my shirt pocket top down. That makes it feel a good deal less like it will spill out of there.

I don't do a lot of one hand operation on any phone, and you could always use Swiftkey thumb or "small" layout to dock the keyboard to the right side.

I added a cheapo glass screen protector after discovering that these tend to make the screen even smoother. I did manage to crack two Zagg versions on my M9 so maybe they do offer some protection too. Other than that I go without a case. Amazon.com: [2 Pack] Nexus 6P Screen protector, OMOTON 0.26mm 2.5D Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Google/Huawei Nexus 6P with [9H Hardness] [Crystal Clear] [Scratch Resist] [No-Bubble Easy Install]: Cell Phones & Accessories 2 for $9.

I also am loving the iBolt car mount that lets you slide it onto a powered cable and with the right car adapter the 6p rapid charge REALLY charges fast.

I did at first but the more I got used to it... Less it became an issue. I used to have the one plus in a case and this is slightly bigger.

I came from the Moto X (which I only had for a couple weeks). Prior to that I had a Nexus 4. I have larger hands so this what perfect fit for me.

I came from a 4.5" phone, but the thing is that for me the 6P was the same width but taller. It did feel incredibly unwieldy for the first couple of weeks, but once I got my SUPCASE in the mail I became more confident using the phone one-handed. The battery life, screen and speakers totally make up for the size IMO. This phone is epic on all levels

Just purchased it past week. So far I absolutely love it! It's everything I wanted in a phone. Slight adjustment to size but it's exactly what I expected and wouldn't go back to anything smaller. The screen size & front speakers are worth it! And as jojoe42 says "It is an epic phone on all levels"

Coming from the Nexus 5 it was an adjustment but the screen and speakers make the size worth it imho.
