Is The Stylus For The Note 4/Edge The Same?

I ask because on the Note 5 board, obviously the S pen can be inserted wrong which equates to a damaged phone. They go on to say that the Note 4 gives a warning if the S pen is inserted incorrectly. I just tried to insert my S pen the wrong way in my Edge and it's obvious that it won't fit. Are the S pens and opening the same for both phones?

When I heard about the Note 5 pen fiasco, I tried to see what would happen on my Note 4. My pen won't even go in. Of course I didn't force it so I have no idea if there would have been a warning.

Lol that's exactly my point. The rough edges on the back of the stylus make it very difficult (not impossible) to insert the stylus the wrong way.

Actually, I just tried it again and it does go in... but only a little. I'm sure if I force it, I can get it stuck! As if that's ever going to happen!!! LOL!

I found myself in a glazed over horror when I read those stupid Note 5 posts. Before I knew it I was pulling out my handy stylus and trying to gently place it in backwards...then I snapped out of it before even touching the stylus to the slot.

Morbid curiousity....and I don't think Verizon would replace my ickle Edge.

To answer the TC, they are the same S Pen. I have a friend that ironically just bought a Galaxy Note 4 last week, and was curious that if his S Pen would work on my phone. And it does. And vice versa.

Ny s pen goes in either way and never has any issues. As long as i dont put it in sideways. Meaning the button on my s pen can be up or down but not facing left or right. So i am lost as to what we are talking about here

If you're lost, I highly suggest you research "Note 5 S Pen stuck" on Google. Do NOT put your S Pen in backwards or it'll get trapped inside the receptacle.

Lol. Which way the "button" is oriented while inside the phone is irrelevant, though I tend to keep mine facing up. I am talking about your S pen being able to go inside the phone BACKWARDS. Meaning the needle is pointed towards you.

o.O wait, people have done this? O mean, there is a ridge around the end of the S-Pen that you need to use to catch it to pull out. What the hell were people thinking about putting it in the wrong way?

Mine starts to go in and I feel some resistance and stopped, this is not worth the damage. LOL!

Wow, speachless... >.<
