AC Question

So, to start, I am using a Samsung Galaxy tablet, A6. I was, honestly, looking at porn on the internet. Said page was a common and popular site. But then I was quickly directed to a page that was in the style of something from Google services, that said that a virus was going to be opened, and if I exised the window, it was at my own risk, and needed to download or install something to remove it in the next 5 minutes. I was scared, ando just went to the settings page on my tablet and factory reset the whole thing. Did I do the right thing, and was that page warning me legit, or just a scam?

🙋There was no need to reset. You could have made a note of the site name, got rid of the page by tapping Recents and swiping it away, then adding the site to your broadband shield.

The warning was scareware.
