Is the whole community here happy with the LG V20?

Compared to my HTC One M8, it's a dream phone. Faster, lighter, charges fast, lasts all day, etc. Yes the camera is really 12MP when in 16:9 mode. That is a terrible idea. When I'm far away from something, I switch to 4:3 for 16MP. That is not my usual spot to take a pic. I only really have one complaint. When its charging, I can't tell how it is going or when it is done. I downloaded an app that beeps when its done. IMO, every phone should have a LARGE icon that shows its charging that goes Green when it is done.

Now your sounding like my boss... Dude, I did it without any hocus pocus, this is what you get, nothing special.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as bossy. I thought you had figured out an easy way to crop an icon of a person's face to a circle. Looks like you're using a custom icon, which I do know how to do.

This of course is a minor thing. The bigger issues I have are battery life being very poor sometimes (very inconsistent), and lots of apps crashing randomly. In addition, I can't get Android Wear to work consistently either. For example, most of the time when I play music on Google Music, the Play/Pause/Volume controls don't show up on my Moto 360. Sometimes they do, but not often.

Otherwise I love the sound in particular and the screen is great too.

No worries..just got out of a meeting and all he kept asking was " How do we know how the computer commuvaayes with the printer"? O.o I wanted to die...lol. Anyways, sounds like you might have to do a reset on the phone. A Factory reset and start out as if you just bought it. You should back up your photos and what nots before doing the factory reset, worth a try.

I love my V20 except for the fact that I can't get text messages through my Sync 2 system on my 2014 Ford Explorer. I could with my V10.

I called Ford and they said it isn't on their approved phone list. I'm in my car a lot and it is a feature that I relied on.

Doesn't that phone have a hands free option or "ok google" option to check and respond to texts by voice

It may. I just want to hear the text message.

On my Sync system I used to be able to receive a text alert, touch the screen and it would read it out to me. None of that works with the V20 now.

It's a solid phone. Been using is since October and really don't have much to complain about. I think it's a step up from the V10 in almost every way. I do miss the more rugged design of the V10 and the volume keys on the back. One of my biggest complaints of the V10 was battery life and the V20 is a big improvement. I have a spare battery I carry with me but I rarely ever have to use it. I can get through a full day easily on a single charge. I thought I would see a dropoff after using the phone for a month or two but it's been about the same since the day I bought it, usually get about 4.5-5hrs of on screen time.

Some of my negatives are customization options in terms of custom themes and icons. LG World is garbage. The second screen is one of the things I love about the V series but I often find the icons to not be as responsive. Sometimes I have to press multiple times on the icon for it to load the app or to switch to another one....or when I press a contact to text or call them it will take multiple presses for it to finally load it up. So for some reason that 2nd screen isn't as responsive as the V10 was. Could be my phone though....not sure. The speaker is better than the V10 but still isn't great and I just don't like the placement at the bottom of the phone. I don't know why LG and Samsung continue to do this.

As of right now, I don't see myself upgrading to the G6 or S8. I guess I'll wait and here more about those phones but I'm pretty happy with the V20.
