Is there a good reason to upgrade

I have the watch 6 classic. Is there anything that makes going to the ultra 7 worth while? I can do it for $225 after all discounts.

So far, people are reporting more accurate fitness and GPS tracking, which would be nice. Saw one YouTuber test against a top Garmin device and they were almost identical with metrics recorded. If there's any so-called unlocked features like BP monitoring, well we know Samsung doesn't prioritize approval in the US so I'm done getting hooked on those type features.

But the absolute deal breaker for me is the loss of a rotating bezel and being able to charge from my phone using reverse wireless charging.

It's never my plan to charge using that function, but I went on a trip last month and somehow managed to forget my puck charger for my GW6 Classic. Being able to charge in the evening using the back of my S24U saved my bacon, so to speak.

Those are valid points. Battery longevity is my main concern. I haven't used my watch 6 classic for awhile as my iPhone is my main driver right now so I'm using the apple watch ultra. When it comes to the watch apple has the win. If the RCS/iMessage works good then I'll probably use android as main driver, but it will be hard leaving the apple watch.

I don't understand why Samsung would take away the reverse charging on the watch, that was a Samsung bragging right able ton charge your watch from your phone on the go.

Two nights ago, I received my Watch7 44mm BT Silver and I couldn't send back my Watch5 44mm BT Black/Grey trade-in fast enough. There's no way I can go back to the Watch5 after experiencing the Watch7.

In summary:

1. Speed. Everything is so much faster with buttery smooth animations. Especially the launch time to pay with Google Wallet. It's literally ready within 1 second.

2. No more unwanted re-locks. I literally had to outwit my GW5 so that it would stay unlocked after I entered the PIN (e.g. wait 2 mins before unlocking.) But on GW7, I enter the PIN as soon as I wear it and it stays unlocked!

3. Watch face size? Early reviewers say the watch display is exactly the same and same size as the Watch5, which I believe was supposedly the same as the Watch5? To that, I definitely say no. The bezels are smaller, which makes the visible portion bigger and easier and more satisfying to use.

4. No Facer? No problem! There's a new built-in featured OneUI 6.0 watch face that I'm thoroughly enjoying. There are literally 7 customizable complications, as well as the clock font.

5. Body composition accuracy improvement? This is one feature I used very regularly on my GW5, and the additional 3 sensors on the GW7 is supposed to improve this even further. I will know for sure when I restart using this feature in the coming days, but I would say there's reason to be optimistic.

Coming from watch 5 pro, I updated to the ultra because of better sensors, GPS and faster processor. I should have gone with regular 7 but I prefer Ti material for the case. As above mentioned, the 7 requires a new charging puck, and it won't charge with the phone share charging.

Looks like you went with silver. That must have been the popular color as it's on back order till October 14th. The gray is July 25th

Yep, it's Ti silver. I thought the Ti white is out of stock and is longer wait.
Yeah, my order page went from July 24 delivery to July 29 delivery. Hope that date holds or I might just pick one up at BB in a different color.

I ordered the silver. I still have time to cancel, says August 14th. Traded in the watch 6 classic and paid $225. I still have to do some researching on this ultra 7.

One thing I don't like is I can't send pictures from the galaxy watch, I can from the apple ultra watch. That's disappointing to say the least, if Samsung wants to copy apple all the time, copy here.

Well they just pushed my silver watch order from August 14 to September 25th. That gives me lots of time to research and see how eveoia getting along with it. I am on the fence anyways, this will give me time to decide.

My personal opinion is there no reason to upgrade your Watch 6 Classic. But if Samsung decides to do a Classic Watch next year, then the trade in value could make it worth it. I have two Watch 6 Classics. I am trading in one, my silver one, and keeping my black one.

I think if you an athlete, or work out alot, the Watch 7 Ultra is a good upgrade. I don't really care for the look of the watch. If I want to dress up and go out, the 7 Ultra just doesn't do it for me. My Watch 6 Classic, with the right band, goes with anything I wear.

Another thing to consider is the features. What do you gain and what do you lose between the two watches. It's already been mentioned above the 7 Ultra has no reverse wireless charging. Had I known this before I bought the watch, I probably would have not bought it. I would keep the Watch 6 Classic if I were you.
