Is there a "hide apps" feature like there was on the Nexus 6P?

Are you sure you weren't using some type of third party launcher on your 6p?

I know this feature was on a Nexus. Perhaps it was the 6?

You can't hide apps without some 3rd party app. You can, however, disable some apps that are 'stock' and non-removable, which will remove them from the app tray.

This might be what the OP was referring to, the option to disable an app that comes preinstalled and cannot be removed.

If that's not what he is referring to there isn't and hasn't been a way even on the Nexus phones without a third-party app.

Yep, that's what I figured he was looking for - thanks for putting in the screenshot though - makes it clearer.

Yes it is. It was a part of 6p and pixel. Disable will stop a stock app from running or appearing in the app tray.

That's "disable", not "hide" as was asked. Yes, semantics, but they can have different meanings, especially when some launchers allow you to actually hide apps that are not disabled.
