Is there a new method to rooting after the GB Update?

I had waited to root until after the Gingerbread update came out (If there were any problems I could bring it in to Sprint). Now that I have installed Gingerbread, has the procedure and software needed to root changed at all?

Also, what is the preferred and easiest way to root? Is it Unrovoked, z-4root or something else. Is the end result different between these rooting methods?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Should have rooted before the gingerbread update. There is no root method for the updated evos yet.

This, with the new GB, there is no root method. It sucks, I know this cause I got my evo right as they swapped to 2.2 and could not root for a while. You will see in the up coming weeks how to guides on rooting through adb commands. Expect a week or more probably for Unrevoked to have a script ready for one click roots.

Now between Unrevoked and z4root, I would go unrevoked hands down. Z4root does not give you a custom recovery (ie) clockworkmod and most of the time you only get a temp root.

Thanks for the replies. I will keep an eye out for the updated Unrevoked.
