Is there a possibility to use external sim card insted of internal?

as the topic says, i would like to have the sim card external insted of in the phone, my phone is a little water damaged and thinks that i am taking out sim card and has to reboot every time.
i think that the sim card tray is damaged and therefore i would like to try to have something external like using the otg port.
My phone is an Samsung galaxy S5 Active (International)
