Is there a rooting for dummies guide?

Just wondering- I never tried to root my old Incredible, but it seems like the Tbolt has more bloatware and it bugs me more than it did on the Incredible. I am a total noob ( I am a nurse no exp in programming at all) and am really nervous about trying this. Should I wait till there is an easier method? What are the chances of me bricking my phone?
