Is there a .way for group text..for group conversation?

I was wondering if there is a way to have a group conversation through text. I am assuming not because I have not found it yet but maybe I am overlooking. I am surprised this is not done yet.

Don't think so. You can do that using google chat or google plus has a great feature called huddle.

Good question. In the Getting Startedsection on Messaging, I added this:

Group Text
• You can send a text to a Gmail contact group: Tap The person icon next to the To field at the top then <Groups>.
• You can send an email to several people at once, just keep adding contacts in the To field.
• Group Texting (like a texting conference call or group chat) can be done with an app like GroupMe,

we use GroupMe for our rescue squad when we all left the BBM world. it works great. the group call function is great too when you need additional help, or Advanced Life Support

Yes. There is a way for Android to support group text chat as soon as Google licenses Smashtalk for inclusion in Android. +1 for Groupme. I run a call center and it has relieved tons of headaches. But be prepared to lose battery if you have too many coming during the day.
