Is there a way in Chrome to always disable mobile sites and have it display the desktop site?

I hate mobile sites. I'm always having to select options, then put the check in "request desktop site". Is there a way to just default to that? I went in to settings, but can't see anything

I think I did it when I had root, but I've found no way of doing it without it.
