Is there a way to access the clipboard with out using the stock keyboard.

Every time I send a pic through text it saves to the clipboard for easy access. Even if I delete that pic it's in the clipboard. Problem is I think the only way to access the clipboard is through the stock app. Is there any way when using other keyboards?

Press and hold in the text box with your finger and will bring up an option for clipboard regardless of what keyboard u use

I think you only see the clipboard option on long press if you are using default (Samsung?) apps. It seems to depend on the app you are using. This is my test just now using Swype and the Samsung Keyboard
- Google Now: long press and I just see PASTE (text)
- Messages: long press and I see Paste|Clipboard (text and icons)
- Settings Search: long press and I see Paste|Clipboard (text and icons)
- Jota+: long press and I see menu with Select text|Undo|Paste|Select all|Input method (text)

I find this really frustrating. I want to see Input method and Clipboard on every app..

Try this.. on the keyboard there is a microphone. Press and hold if a clipboard is an option there ya go :)
I had the same problem with a texting app.. hope this helps.

The OP knows that already I think :).

By "stock app" he meant the Samsung keyboard. He's looking to be able to do it on other keyboards—most likely the Swype keyboard—as have many others before him, and on which no microphone appears. Your answer will still undoubtedly help future Samsung newbs, who don't yet know about the mic key/clipboard connection on the Samsung keyboard, and come upon this thread through their search results 👍.

There's an Xposed module called Native Clip Board as well, but you'd need to be rooted.

Open the stock Internet browser and hold in the url box, clipboard will come up as an option and open a thumbnail view of all saved clips.
Thanks to @msndrstood!

Hello. What are you trying to do?

Re: I've copied a few photos to "Clipboard" how do I find them

Oops! The subject line didn't show up on my post, sorry!!

I am copying photos of employees from my co. website (from my phone), then I wanted to use those photos, for each, in my contacts. So their face pops up when they are calling. So, I copied, and it shows it goes to the clipboard, but I couldn't find where they went (it's not under my screen shots). Thanks for asking......

I can't copy like that, but have a look in Gallery (maybe next time) and use the drop down menu for "People". My call log saves them there (though I have very few contact pics, and the pretty ones never call).
I don't like Google's People stuff, so in Accounts - Google I have Sync People Details unchecked, but yours may have been saving them to the cloud. (So I think they would all be available in the Gallery or Cloud.

You probably know to add a contact photo you just select a contact - edit icon - tap pic area and it allows you to crop from a few areas including Pictures by People.

Hi Madd54,

Yes I know how to save a photo, but no idea about any of your suggestions?

I checked the gallery (in photos I'm guessing you mean??), I don't have a drop down with that? I did mention to you that I am not too saavy....right?

Naw. My bad.

I misread your post. Never read forums on public transport!

My solution for what I thought you wanted was illogical anyway. I was approaching it from both ends.
I can explain further but you would need therapy.

It took another while, but I finally figured what you want to do. One word changed the whole picture.

You are copying from the phone browser, and it's going to the clipboard.
You could still touch to paste a clip/photo from the Samsung browser clipboard like above, but I think you would need to get it to the Gallery by taking a screenshot or another way - so you can start from a contact and add a photo from the Gallery. I don't know if you have a Samsung or just searched about clipboards.

There is probably an easier solution than copying from a browser, but it's late here - and I don't do easy. (Or normal!)

Come back if you want more help though.

On Edit : Also download Clipper if you are doing it that way. The free version saves 20 clips at a time (or is it 10). I like it a lot.

I just figured it out! Swype key to "b".

After fruitlessly searching on Google and finding only one other instance of someone else accidentally doing it (I did it one time before accidentally and had no idea how it happened) who had no idea how it happened I decided to Swype to other keys to see what happened. Swype key to b!

Samsung Galaxy S III and Swype version 1.5.1921097 (the one that came with the latest firmware that I have on my phone, but not the latest firmware available for this phone). I'm going to assume it works in later versions as well.

Now I'm going to try to Swype to other keys and see what sort of evils I can unleash. ;-)

Edit: I did just find out that this trick does not work in the Facebook app. It acts like the standard Swype-V combo. YMMV
