Is there a way to change how app overview "cards" are displayed?

[Android Central Question]

In older versions of Android (like 8.1), apps were stacked and accordioned like a rolodex, and you would swipe right to close them. Now they take up the whole screen and I have to swipe up to close them. Is there a way to get the old style back? Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! If you have a Samsung phone, then I believe you can do that using Good Lock. Otherwise, you can't.
