Is there a way to enable the lock screen to stay on longer?

Really? That's frustrating. I can't even glance at my notifications without unlocking the device first!

How long is it staying on? Maybe you could try a 3rd party lockscreen app--perhaps those have screen duration options.

Display screen timeout.. even if you power button the screen off it won't lock for whatever time you set it. Just make sure the hit the power button to lock function is off which is in lock screen settings. Change that to 30 seconds in the lock automatically setting

I believe that only affects the time the screen stays on once you're past the lockscreen. It doesn't affect the screen timeout when you're on the lockscreen.

This is correct. I'm so used to pulling my notification shade down from my lock screen, but even when I do that it goes off after a couple of seconds. I guess I'll just need to get used to unlocking first.
