Is there a way to get a nexus 6p to accept a shared wifi profile

i want to share a wifi profile from my galaxy 5 s to my Nexus 6p. When I try it I get a message that the 6p does not accept shared profiles. It work from one Samsung phone to another. It is done using Wifi Direct
