Is there a way to get the old photo editor back?

I have a Galaxy S7. The gallery photo editor in the new update is horrible! It doesn't seem to have as many features. The icons are not very helpful. Not even and easy way to brighten a photo. Is there a way to get the old one back?

If you saved an .apk file from the old one, uninstall the current one (if it can be uninstalled) and install the old one. (and set it, in Play, to not update.)

Or in Settings/Apps/Gallery, see if the button on the top right is "Remove Updates". If it is, use that to remove the updates and get the old action back. Then set it to not update (in Play).
