Yes. You have to go to the settings within gmail and change it. Same with your messaging app.

OK I have my phone ringtone set to OLD Phone and the email ringtone set to Jetsons sound but I want a separate one
for my text messages. I could only find a way to have Phone ringtone and everything else is another ringtone not a third
ringtone. Any thoughts?

Haha, the Jetsons doorbell is my default text sound! You should be able to change the text message sound under the settings for your messaging app.

You need to make sure you have the ringtone you want in the proper folder. One folder of ringtones (and I can't remember which one it is: text, email, phone, ...) is in a different folder from the other two, for some reason - if I'm not having a senior moment!

I am using the default Android Messenger app. 3 dot menu at upper right > Settings > Notification Sound
