I recently got rid of my hughesnet and am running hotspot off my note 20 on t mobile. My neighbors have 3 different networks I was seeing show up every time I went to connect to my hotspot. Now, I've noticed I don't see them any more and assume, they are hiding there networks and just want to make sure they are not some how getting into my hotspot I do, have a password for mine is that enough? Thanks folks! :)

Under hotspot configuration, tap advanced and you can toggle on hidden network.

It's incredibly unlikely anyone will be able to access your network if you have a half decent password though.

With the caveat that my device is unlocked.

IMO, a good password is enough to keep others off your hotspot. You can hide your ssid but there are also apps available where others can see hidden ssids.
