Is there a way to turn DND on watch, but allow Pixel Phone to receive ringing phone calls

I have DND turned on on the Google Watch 2 but I still want to receive calls on the Pixel 7.

Is this possible. Is there a way to set DND on watch without setting it on the Phone.

Try turning theatre mode on . Should just affect the watch.

I think in theory you can set the phone ringtone (or any app notification for that matter) as an exception to being silenced by DND. That isn't really what you are after, because then it will also sound when you put DND on at the phone. However, such might partially help for what you are trying to achieve. Also, you should be able to set the watch/phone to not sync for DND (that is, for setting and control of DND independently on watch and phone).

I still don't understand what Theater Mode does. Every time I use it it seems to do strange things to the watch. How does this mode let the Pixel Phone ring but silence the watch?

It's supposed to basically put the watch into something like DND, for when people go into a theatre to watch a movie or a play and so they do not disturb others with noise and watch face lighting up frequently and such.

Ya, that's, it also disables touch to wake so you would have to depress the crown to use the screen.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the block, but wouldn't this be easily solved by silencing notifications on the watch? at least silencing the phone ring on the watch? my phone rings, my watch vibrates. (S24U GW6C)

Try turning this off in the watch app on your phone.
