Is there a way to upload photos to Facebook etc from a specific folder?

I remember years ago (god I'm old) that if you wanted to share a photo on Facebook you could choose a folder to share it from. So if I wanted to share a meme I could choose a folder that I had put all my memes in. Or choose a folder for my family photos etc. It's there a way to do this now instead of having to scroll through my whole gallery to find a photo?

I have a Samsung s20 ultra running android 11

Welcome to the forums. Do you get this option when you try to share a pic from the app? If so, tap the down arrow and select a folder.

Well that's the first time I've noticed that. Thank you. I see it doesn't work when commenting on a post though. Is there a way to choose from a folder in a comment?

That option is not available in the comments using the main Facebook app, only in the Lite version (yeah, FB app sucks).
